England Hockey Umpiring Awards
Level 1
This is the passport to umpire all England Hockey adult club competitions and local / county level leagues.
The Award is made up of three key parts:
a classroom-based presentation
a minimum of three practice games
an assessment on a suitable 11 a-side hockey match.
Level 1 courses are delivered by Surrey Hockey Umpires Association.

Level 2
This is an accreditation for those who umpire in the regional programmes inclusive of any regional leagues and tournaments (inclusive of junior tournaments), and the later rounds of national competitions and is administered and delivered by the regions.
The Level 2 Award (accreditation) is administered and delivered by the regions – the Level 2 Regional Umpiring Co-ordinator for the South Region is Richard Wood (Richardwood812@btinternet.com).

Level 3
This is an accreditation for those who umpire in the national programme including the England Hockey League (EHL) and the National Tournament Finals and Championships.
