Barbara Miroy It is with deep sadness that we report the death of Barbara Miroy on 29 November aged 91. Her funeral was on 15 December.
Barbara and her late husband Neville spent a life time in hockey and for many years organised the annual fixture conference and emergency fixture bureau, the latter a very useful source of late games before most teams were in leagues.

England Hockey Annual Awards
At this year's awards the Champion Volunteer award was given to Sheila Plant was has recently retired as Chairman of the Southern Counties' HA but who contributed to both Surrey HA and the former Surrey Ladies HA in a variety of roles for over 50 years, at one point she was as (executive) President of of the Ladies Association.
Matt Dean from Wanderers was awarded the Club Member of the Season.
England Hockey have appointed two relationship managers to cover the Surrey Region. Edward Marsh covers Greater London and Joanna Irvine will cover Kent, Surrey and Sussex (excluding the metropolitan area).
Edward joins from American Express, where he held the role of Head of Relationship Management, UK. He has 9 years experience of working in the commercial sector and in Relationship Management roles.
Joanna joins from Active Sussex, where she held the position of Sports Development Manager. Her previous professional experiences include roles with British Triathlon and England Netball.
