Affiliation
All Clubs and Schools playing hockey must affiliation to their County, Region and England. All teams in a section (men’s or women’s) must affiliate through a single county, though some counties may make a small additional charge for those teams not affiliated to it that enter leagues under its control. Mixed teams where the players all play in registered men's and women's sides at the same club pay no affiliation fee, all others pay a standard registration fee.

The other leagues, the umpires’ association and England all levy fees - but these are collected directly by the appropriate body.

These are used to compile the county handbook and act as our main contact over the next year.
The county affiliation fees are due by 31 October. The County Treasurer will contact Club Treasurers and School Contacts with Affiliation details.
The club affiliation fee is composed of several parts, a fixed club fee plus an additional fee per side run. The Club fee is £45 with a £15 discount if paid by 31 October, it is paid by all adult Clubs regardless of size. The additional fee per team is £52 which includes the standard team fee, the levy to pay for the HDO and the Southern Counties’ HA affiliation.
Universities only need to affiliate those sides who play in non-student based competition (generally the Saturday Leagues). Their sides who only play midweek student hockey (for example BUSA and ULU) are covered by a national block grant.
The School affiliation is £29.50. This covers Surrey and the South.
